DIY - More Stripes Nail Art - Taping

Hey guys!!!  A lot of the nail art I come up with involves stripes so this DIY is called... More Stripes Nail Art, believe it or not ;)

For this project, you'll need:
4 Colors of nail polish - preferably, a light, dark, medium, and white
Tape
Scissors

For my 4 colors, I used (Left to Right)
Pure Ice - Not sure of the name, it's a light pink
Sally Hanson - Hard to Get
NYC New York Color - Pink Promenade Creme
China Glaze - Coconut Kiss

First, paint a base coat of the light pink.  You will probably need 2-3 coats depending on the color.  Let it dry completely before moving on to the next step.

After the base coat is completely dry, cut thin strips of tape and place them horizontally across each nail.  Do not press down to hard and it will make the next few steps easier.

Paint the section at the top (right below your cuticle) with the dark pink.  Try not to get it to far down on the tape.

Next, paint the bottom (or the tip) of your nail with the purple.  You can switch the purple and pink around, or even do a completely different color scheme, they're your nails ;)

Pull the strips of tape off.  You can't do it to fast or to slow.  It should look something like this.

To speed up the drying process for this step, use a hair dryer on a cool setting.  When all the polish is COMPLETELY dry, cut a piece of tape in half and place the pieces on your accent nail creating a "gap" in the middle.  Don't push the tape down to hard just in case it decides to pull off the polish ;)

Paint the "gap" white and pull the tape off.  It should look like this.

And you're done!!! Feel free to email or comment and give me ideas to post.  I love hearing feedback!!!
